Chapter 2 The Moonlight's Grace
Chapter 2 The Moonlight's Grace
As Ronald stepped out of the bar, he couldn't help but look up at the sky and the buildings around him.
In the city he was in, which was named Jinhai, all of the buildings and skyscrapers here are completely modern, similar to the cities in earth.
The difference however, was that not only were the streets extremely clean compared to some of the cities over at earth, but the sky had such a beautiful color to it that it seemed absolutely stunning.
But as the saying goes, the more beautiful something is, the darker its shadows are.
And that certainly was the case for this novel world.
Anyways, since the original Ronald's whole life pretty much revolved around making Luna, his fiancée, happy, he needed to go get Luna an extremely expensive gift before heading to the trade show.
That's right, he was one of those brainless rich-second generation types whose whole role is to block the protagonist's path whenever they see the protagonist even anywhere near their love interest.
In other words, he's a licking dog, or a simp.
With that in mind, Ronald hopped in his Lamborghini Aventador that was parked right outside the bar and drove off to the priciest shopping district in Jinhai.

When Ronald arrived at the district and stepped out of his car, he walked arrogantly to the most expensive jewelry shop in the district.
As soon as he headed inside, all of the employees, who were mostly female, got in a neat row and bowed their heads at Ronald.
"Welcome Master Kuangge!" They all spoke enthusiastically in unison.
"No need, just give it to me already." Even though it was extremely irresponsible for him to purchase a luxurious ring like this without even knowing the price, Ronald didn't care.
In the novel, the original Ronald had given Luna this exact ring, so he needed to do the same to ensure everything matched the plot perfectly.
Plus, since Ronald was also originally the only son in the entire family, his father regarded him as an absolute treasure. He would always pamper up to Ronald and always reaffirmed to him that no matter what, he was always right and that he should treat the city they lived in as his stomping ground.
Of course, this ultimately ended up shaping Ronald's original character as the typical arrogant rich second generation, but it is what it is.
"Alright then, Master Kuangge." The store manager conceded, and he signaled to his female employees to wrap the ring into an attractive box while he took Ronald's card and swiped it through the cash register at the front counter.
Once finished, he politely handed the receipt along with the box containing the ring to Ronald.
"Thank you for your patronage, Master Kuangge." The store manage bowed down respectfully.
"Thank you, Master Kuangge!" All of the employees also followed suit.
Ronald didn't give any sort of response back and simply just left the store while thinking about something else.
'I can definitely tell that I've kept all of my powers and strength I've obtained in my previous life.'
'So does that mean that the system will give me rewards once I complete each plot again?'
'...'
'Guess I'll find out soon enough.'
