Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 393 - The Woman in White.

CHAPTER 393 - The Woman in White.

In the deepest part of the Dragon Empire, the eternal prison, no one other than authorized people were allowed to enter, yet, in the most secluded area of Area 1, the place where the worst of the worst criminals were kept, there was a cave.

This cave was called the cave of eternal suffering. The longer one stayed in this cave, the harder it would get for them to breathe, but the moment they were about to lose their life due to suffocation, they would be able to breathe again, only to have the same process repeat.

For that, however, there was a condition: The victim, or the one who is supposed to be tortured that way, should be bound by the chains hanging down from the ceiling.

If all of the spots are filled, then you can just kill one of them or push them into the pond at the center of the cave.

That pond was special as well. It was said to work just like the cave; once you are pushed inside it, it would send you to the lowest part, but before you could drown, it would create an air bubble around your head, letting you breathe a little, and just when you think of relaxing, the bubble would burst.

Many people die here because of tiredness and not by the wounds of some gruesome torture.

Right now, in that same cave, one person had entered unannounced and unnoticed by anyone.

It was but a mere SS-ranker. A mix-breed of dragon and some other race, a boy with black hair and black eyes, Kamish Vladimir.

Kamish was scared if he were to be honest. The atmosphere spooked him, and he even had a thought of just running away, but his mother's face would flash in front of his eyes every time he thought of running away, causing him to grit his teeth.

He had been constantly hearing the curses of the guy who had been watching his every action as if it were a show, but all he could do was move forward.

He wasn't dumb, so he knew that the three guys—the rich young masters who had promised him to get his mother treated—were scared as well.

They were scared that he might run away from there.

If he, their only pawn who could even reach this point, were to turn back now, then who knows when they would ever get a chance to have someone reach this point?

The most important point, however, something even Kamish didn't know was that those three kids were in no way ordinary people. They had been doing this for a while, and they earned from this.

Just like how they could watch his every action, they were streaming everything on a much larger scale.

They were running a betting business, and some other students just like they participated in it, betting on how long the people were sent inside the eternal prison.

Now, with many bets placed on the fact that Kamish would run away, the trio of young masters, the ones who controlled the betting, didn't want Kamish to stop as that would bring them a lot of the betting money.

"F-Folow that voice!"

"Y-Yeah! This has to be something big! I-I want to know more about this!"

"Fucking move!"

That was why they wanted to force Kamish to move forward, and they knew that Kamish had no choice but to do it.

And Kamish really did move forward, his steps hesitant, his body shivering as he found the temperature dropping for some reason.

*Cough**Cough*

The same voice, coughing as if having a hard time breathing, and Kamish couldn't help but take a step back.

"D-Don't stop you bastard!"

As soon as he did it, the hushed shout of one of the guys from the trio caused him to grit his teeth.

"W-Who is it...?"

"Just... hah... a poor... soul..."

The woman seemed to be having a hard time even expressing herself.

Kamish, on the other hand, kept moving forward, and slowly, the woman's features became clearer.

He could see her soft hands, stained with blood, bound by a rusty pair of chains, the same as the ones he had seen on the dead bodies before.

Her clothes, which didn't seem like anything he had seen before, were tattered and stained with blood. Those blood stains were a clear sign of a struggle—a struggle to come free of the chains that seemed fragile but were strong enough to keep her bound here.

Something inside his heart stirred as he saw that scene; it was as if his heart just wanted to rush forward and break those chains binding her like that.

"...who got... betrayed... by..."

The lady, on the other hand, went on, breathing roughly as she voiced out with much difficulty.

There were wings on her back. Pure white wings, but the problem was that...

"Ah..."

Kamish averted his gaze as he saw the bloody mess her wings were. They were cut off, and her once snow-white wings were stained with blood.

Some worms seemed to be crawling on her body, and her wound seemed to be quite fresh even though Kamish was sure that this woman had been trapped here for some time.

Her body was hanging down the chain as if she didn't even have strength left in her body, and so was her head.

Her white hair, disheveled and dirtied, was covering her face, trembling every time she tried to speak.

"...someone... I tried... to... trust."

Her words finally ended, and she lifted her head slowly, her body jerking with every movement, as if the slightest movement were enough to cause her immense agony.

The young master trio, on the other hand, remained silent, their breaths struck in their throats as they waited for the woman to lift her head, and the moment she did, they were left stupified.

'B-Beautiful...'

That was the only word that could describe what they saw.

A pale round face with an innocent charm, capable of inducing protective feelings from any man who laid their eyes on her.

Her golden eyes filled with helplessness and defeat, staring straight at them.

There were several bruises on her face, probably caused by the struggle, or maybe someone hit her, and there was dust covering her cheeks, but instead of making her look bad, all of these just made her look more vulnerable than anyone else.

The trio of young masters, or the ones watching the video, be it a girl or a boy, all of them just wanted to jump in and help her out, but the next second, all of them saw a strange flash passing through the woman's eyes before the recording went blank.

The ones who were watching the livestream, however, just dumbly stared at the screen in front of them, still mesmerized by the woman's beauty.

None of them cared about the money they lost or the bet that turned invalid due to the video being cut off—at least not for now—all they could think about was the teary-eyed look of the woman.

No one knew who she was, and they were wondering who it could be, but if Alex were here, staring at the woman right now, he would've instantly recognized her.

It was Aurora Oraclewing.

The seer that Alex had come across before.
