Chapter 243: The Beginning : Radiant And Foul
Chapter 243: The Beginning : Radiant And Foul
Looming well over the city, dwarfing all constructs made by the living even when mostly buried underground, the crypt of Nitok, royal palace and main center of operations of the undead armies, where the lord of the dead was sealed at this very instant, encased in a seal of devouring life and blindingly bright sunlight, every undead could feel his presence in their very bones.
Every life they reaped, they could sense it clearer, every life they snuffed, the stronger death became and soon, when the entirety of Bourgliotte was suffused with death force, the seal prison would come undone and the sovereignty of death would once again be established.
Atop this monument, the part of which was visible above ground reassembled a big stone box, carved out of dark stone, rock infused with death force.
The top of which was perfectly flat and incredibly vast, two figures were standing, at odds with one another.
One Foetid and dusty, the other pure and radiant.
The strongest and a traitor.
"Well, well, well... If it isn’t the shiny elf diddler, it’s weird, Loimos said that you were wearing a sun mask, what happened to it? Ashamed of your fashion sense?" Nosferatu tapped his index against his elbow, arms crossed, smug smile and raised chin.
The most ignoble-faced vampire lord laughed, unable of containing his amusement at the shiny traitor, even after so long, it still looked just as ridiculous.
"Elf... Diddler? That’s rich coming from the likes of you, so-called strongest gravelord- Come at me already instead of spouting nonsense, I have not been waiting here for any other reason than to finally tear you down" Sun-Walker, bright like a pure light spirit pointed a sword with a golden guard at Nosferatu, infused with the power of the sun.
The long-eared vampire grinned toothily, waving his hands at the traitor.
"Surely you jest, thousands of years to prepare, and the best you found is this rickety replica? The sun knights were annoying, sure, but their swords were only really effective against lesser vampires, I mean, I am basking in the light you emit, does it look like I am burning? Not even a little bit of smoke... Do you have any idea how long I can endure direct sunlight? No, no, you don’t"
"You know nothing about me! And yet, here you are, speaking as though we were once familiar, you false undead, you betrayed us nearly as quickly as you showed your shiny mug, so stop pretending, stop your games" with a single thunderous step, Nosferatu got right up into Sun-walker’s face, burying his fist right in the traitor’s face, unsurprisingly, the blessed vampire’s skull was reduced to mush.
"You are so incredibly weak! I knew it, you have never drank even a drop of blood, have you? You never delved into your undeath, you don’t know the special property of your blood! That’s why you only ever turned a handful of people into vampires, you barely even know how to do it! You’re a freaking disappointment!" increasing his output just a bit, Nosferatu smashed Sun-Walker into the ground.
Pulling himself away, the gravelord that lives in death wasn’t fazed much by the clear gap in strength, tapping a ring worn on his middle finger, taking the occasion to raise it at Nosferatu while he was at it.
"Indeed, I am not a big fan of senseless murder you see..."
The vampire lord of foetid blood rolled his eyes at such unfun words.
"I was hoping to speak with Nitok, have a civil discussion-"
"I think you are just making crap up right now, I did notice that your heart was not in your chest cavity, you know?

You don’t care what happens because you’ll just regenerate back wherever you left that heart, that’s why your so abysmally pitiful, you used to at least be able of using some aspects of light to fight and move around, saying your just sightseeing would be more believable than whatever you are spouting right now"
"You said something completely different to my boneling, so what is it? What do you want?" Nosferatu was wholly disappointed, not only was Sun-Walker already much weaker than he was, the fool had not even come at him with his full strength.
Sun-Walker paused for a few long seconds, suddenly turning contemplative.
"Sun-Walker only wanted to stop the undead and get some more information, as for me... I guess I’ll know when I find it"
He said, turning dimmer and breaking down into fine particles, not even gracing Nosferatu with the right to turn the traitor into mush.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
