After Transmigration, I Reached The Top of My Life

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Jiang Zhou patiently coaxed Xiao Yi to let go of his hair then he asked Wen Yan, “Are you here to see the lantern festival?”

Perhaps because Jiang Zhou’s gentleness which was the same like his husband back then, Wen Yan who was full of worry and defense, finally felt a little better around the man.

He only felt a little sad but he nodded at him while hugging the small baby.

Jiang Zhou hesitated for a while and asked again, “There are so many people now. It would be hard for you to walk around with a baby. Your parents didn’t come with you?”

“They are here. I just want to walk around with Xiao Yi.”

Jiang Zhou listened to his words carefully and felt his heart softened, Wen Yan must be looking out for him here.

His wife should be missing him and couldn’t wait for them to be together again. They could have more children and grow old together.

“Well, I will take you to Sanshu Alley then?”

Jiang Zhou didn’t say that he wanted to visit the lantern festival with him but only said to take him there.

Sanshu Alley wasn’t far from them, there was a market before they could reach it. It always filled with people who wanted to see the lantern festival.

There was no way Wen Yan could walk around the safely, he didn’t dare to let his wife took the risk.

Wen Yan looked at his eyes and agreed. The two left the young master and his servants alone.

However, the young master didn’t stop them and stood there blankly.

When Jiang Zhou and Wen Yan disappeared, the young master calmed down and stamped his feet.

The two servants looked at his face and asked cautiously, “Young master, are we still going to shopping?”

The young master raised his eyes and glared at them, he hit each other with his fan and cursed, “What a waste time! This place is so shabby and the lantern festival is boring. We couldn’t even catch a little beauty. Let’s go home!”

The two servants didn’t have a choice, they followed him back with a sad face. They looked at each other, it was rare for them to go out. They couldn’t even watch the lantern festival, such a pity.

The young master walked back carelessly.

.

If Jiang Zhou knew the young master was actually from the Liu Mansion, he would claim in surprise. This was the actually the Liu family who moved here to take office as the magistrate. And the young master he saw just now, must be his son.

The two flavors were mixed well which tasted strange and delicious.

Madam Liu looked at him expectantly, “How is it?”

Liu Buping took a big bite and nodded his head repeatedly, “Hmm....”

Madam Liu patted the table, “This is cake is from Jiang Zhou from Xiaohe Village. If you like it, I will find someone to make reservation for you.”

Liu Buping blinked, “Mother, I want something else.”

“Okay. Okay. What is it? I will listen to you.”

.

Jiang Zhou didn’t know that he just met by chance, but Liu Buping were greedy for his cakes.

He followed Wen Yan step by step in a crowded road. Just like when he was a child, he walked slowly with xiao Wen Yan in his hand.

At that time, the two of them were so small and only reached the waist of an adult. They couldn’t see the road upfront and Wen Yan was afraid of the crowd so he grabbed the corner of his clothes. Jiang Zhou was afraid of losing him so he took the small hand into his owns.

With Jiang Zhou’s protection Wen Yan dared to look around but remained obedient by Jiang Zhou’s side. When he saw something interesting, he would yell out,

“Zhou-gege.”

.

Jiang Zhou turned his head and looked at Wen Yan. The lights on the roadside illuminated Wen Yan’s face, the warm light made his face looks very gentle and soft.

In a trance, he felt like it was years ago and his sight were overlapped with the current Wen Yan and xiao Wen Yan.

Jiang Zhou felt his heart was beating very fast -it was easy for him to be tempted by Wen Yan, but since he lost consciousness, he had tasted the feeling of seeing but couldn’t touch. Now, he knew he should cherish everything he had.

The lantern festival had already begun and the crowd were overwhelmingly huge. People from both sides would squeeze them.

“Boom–”

The fireworks symbolizing the beginning of lantern festival rose into the sky and exploded.

Jiang Zhou held Wen Yan’s hand when the gorgeous fireworks exploded above their heads, “Don’t be afraid.”

Wen Yan let him hold his hand without breaking it. No one knows how he felt inside his heart.
