Seeing her genuinely in a good mood, Gu Shaocheng said, "That Chao Lu really doesn’t look bad. How come I never heard you mention having such an old acquaintance? Which family is he from?"

"He used to be a little bodyguard my dad picked for me," Gu Qianqian explained, "I always thought he was dead. I didn’t expect him to still be alive."

"A little bodyguard?" Gu Shaocheng was a bit surprised.

The siblings had some snacks at the horse track together. As they were leaving, just as Gu Qianqian was about to get into Gu Shaocheng’s car, she saw a man across the street. He had one hand in his pocket and gestured towards her. Gu Qianqian raised an eyebrow, standing still beside Gu Shaocheng. After waiting a while, Chao Lu walked over to them.
