Chapter 476: It Was You!
"It's only a sword. No one's even wielding it," Xuan Ying said with a cold smile.
Silver scales suddenly wrapped her body, forming a natural armor that covered her entirely.
This innate demonic armor, which she could summon or dismiss at will, restored her to her peak battle strength whenever it appeared.
She only dared to reveal her true identity with the armor because a Great Demon God had assured her that no powerhouses from the Demon Sect would enter the Demon Abyss.
Everything that transpired within the Demon Abyss would remain entirely unknown to the outside world.
The Great Demon God had also informed her that no Immortal Realm cultivators were present in the Demon Abyss and that the few Nirvana Realm cultivators still present would soon leave.
With the Demon Abyss empowering, Xuan Ying charged freely at the Abyssal Demon Sword, serrated blade in hand.
Whoosh!
The dense greenish-black demonic light moved in harmony with her swing.
Behind her, a demonic figure manifested from the demonic light.
This demonic figure was tall and slender with enormous bone wings on its back. It moved as if ready to seize the Abyssal Demon Sword and claim it as its own.
A strand of a Demon God's divine consciousness, channeled from the starry skies through the massive purple demonic stone, silently infused itself into the shadowy demonic figure.
"Qing Ji!" the black-gold sword roared in recognition. "Qing Ji! So, you've become a Demon God as well! You dare to strike against me?"
Clang!
A streak of blade light struck the black-gold sword, sending it spinning off into the distance.
The demonic figure, Qing Ji, silently pursued the sword, seemingly intent on entering its inner world to confront the Abyssal Demon's soul.
Xuan Ying's cold eyes flickered with astonishment. "This demonic stone can channel the divine consciousness of a Demon God..."
Demonic patterns spread across the surface of her serrated blade, and the urgings of various Demon Gods became louder and more persistent. They demanded she pursue the Abyssal Demon Sword and assist Qing Ji in destroying the soul within.
After mulling it over, she calmly let her serrated blade fall to the ground.
Sitting within the dense, sea-like greenish-black demonic light, she then tried to establish a connection with the demonic stone using her soul, seeking to unravel its mysteries.
When she entered a meditative state, her consciousness was drawn into the demonic stone and she was plunged into a foreign realm.
The serrated demonic blade beside her trembled as the demonic patterns on its surface surged chaotically. Great Demon Gods called out urgently through the blade, but Xuan Ying could no longer hear them.
Invisible waves of sinister energy rapidly spread across the Demon Abyss Continent.
Disciples of major sects, members of noble families, and refugees from the Fourth and Third Worlds started clashing over trivial matters.
Old grudges flared as long-dormant seeds of hatred grew, culminating in bloodshed.
Minor conflicts spread like wildfire across the Demon Sect, the Black Valley Sect, and all human-occupied regions of the continent.
Cultivators and non-cultivators alike descended into an uncontrollable frenzy.
Slaughter and death swept across the Demon Abyss Continent like an unstoppable tide.

Within the ruined city, Pang Jian finally finished refining the heart of the Rank Eight Flame Dragon.
He stopped cultivating the Primeval Demon Fusion Art and frowned as he looked ahead.
A familiar figure swiftly came into view.
The newcomer wore a moon-white robe. Her graceful curves swayed elegantly as she moved and she exuded infinite beauty and poise.
"Ying Yue..." Pang Jian muttered under his breath.
As he was in his true appearance, he pretended not to recognize her and feigned confusion.
A short distance away, Li Jie leaned against the Qilin Bell, sipping green fruit juice out of boredom as he waited for Pang Jian to finish.
When he saw Ying Yue approaching, Li Jie grew alert. "Who is she? Pang Jian, do you know her?"
Pang Jian shook his head. "I don't."
"If you don't know her, then why does she look like she's here to kill you?" Li Jie scratched his head, instinctively shrinking back into the Qilin Bell. "I don't know her, so I'm hiding just in case."
He could feel her hostility and suspected she had come seeking revenge. Not wanting to be a burden, he wisely chose to stay out of the way.
"Pang Jian of the Sword Pavilion!" Moon God Ying Yue said through gritted teeth.
She did not care about the mysteries of the demonic stone, frosty gaze piercing through Pang Jian like icy arrows.
"It was you!" she accused.
Pang Jian hurriedly denied, "It wasn't me."
"It was you!"
