"Why should I? You already know the reason why I rejected the 'bastard,' don't you?" Luna spoke while emphasising on the word bastard.

The reason why she did and said this was because of one thing, and one thing only.

She was telling Xie Roulin that she was a regressor too.

That's right, during the time Ye Fan and Ronald was still alive in her past life, not once had Xie Roulin ever called Ye Fan a bastard.

It wasn't until Ronald was pronounced dead when her hatred of Ye Fan reached an all time high that Xie Roulin began calling Ye Fan a bastard instead of his actual name.

And since that's the case, it was obvious that Xie Roulin regressed back as well.@@ing her suspicions that Luna has indeed regressed back also, Xie Roulin couldn't help but feel dejected as she silently walked on over to Luna's exhibition stand.

The entire crowd didn't dare to block her way whatsoever, and they all formed an empty path so that she could walk straight to the stand.

Once on the stand, Xie Roulin immediately walked straight at Luna.

Assuming that Xie Roulin was about to do something insane, Luna subtly got ready to fight.

However, the moment they were arms distance from each other, Xie Roulin walked right by her and stopped infront of Ronald.

"What the hell do you want Roulin?" Since Ronald wasn't supposed to be kind to any other girls in the novel other than Luna, Ronald said harshly as he took one step back when she got too close to him.

Xie Roulin didn't say anything but continued to stare at him.

'My angel...' Even though it was hard to tell since she hid it very well, there was extreme excitement in her eyes, and both her arms and her legs couldn't help but start trembling.

It's been so long since she last saw him.

He should just go remind both of the heroines to act like their normal selves again whenever he has a chance so the plot can proceed smoothly without any other further problems.

Although this made Ronald ease up quite a bit, he still couldn't help but feel super uncomfortable, if all the characters started thinking for themselves this time around, it'll be harder for him to cope and adapt to the changes, but he'll deal with it once he gets there.

"Wait, since the plot has been considered to be going smoothly even with the heroine's weird change in attitude towards me, does that mean I can change my personality completely while still continuing with the plot?" Ronald didn't want to act like a simp anymore, it was super uncomfortable for him to act like an obedient slave towards someone he didn't even love.

[Sorry host, although I'm aware that it's not in your nature to dog lick someone, it has been confirmed that if you change your current attitude and personality, the entire storyline will collapse, bear with it host.]

"Tsk." Ronald couldn't help but click his tongue, even though he has done it for 7 years straight, he still feels way too restricted.

"If that's the case, can you regress me again? It just feels like too much has happened over the past day, and it'll be super hard for me to try and adapt to the current changes." Ronald's aware that the system will most likely not agree to his request, but it didn't hurt to ask anyways.

He wasn't surprised by the system's response, similar to when he asked the system to send him back to earth, he knew that the system wasn't considered omnipotent and did have its flaws.

"Oh well, guess I'm completely stuck with you until I return back to earth." Ronald's completely aware that he's just a slave to the system, but it's not like he can really do much about it if he wants to go back to earth.

Plus, he has tried to oppose the system a couple of times before during his previous life, but that didn't really go well for him.

Everytime he has tried to oppose the system, the system would do some horrifying things to him that even some of the best cultivators of this world would rather choose to commit suicide than to deal with it.

That's right, cultivation does exist in this world.

But that's not as important, since Ronald would already be dead by the time cultivation was introduced in the novel, and besides, even if Ronald did encounter some of the strongest cultivators in the world this time around, he wasn't worried.

It was also hinted multiple times at the beginning of the original novel that Ye Fan was also a cultivator albeit weak compared to some of the other cultivators introduced later on in the story, but it wasn't fully confirmed that he was one until cultivators were fully introduced into the story.

However, it's still good enough for the protagonist to get through the first half of the story.

"Yeah, I'm aware." In his previous life, the system told him that even after he returns back to earth, the system will still stay by his side, although he doesn't know any reason as to why though.

He also just noticed that the system showed a slight fluctuation of emotion when saying that.

Even though it's hard to notice the system's emotions since the system acts emotionless most of the time, there are some rare occasions that the system would show a bit of emotions, and this was one of those rare occurrences.

Although Ronald was usually carefree and usually doesn't think too much about certain situations, there are times when he would ponder and think to himself about the identity of the system.

What does the system want from him?

It can't be to just complete the plot of the villain he was playing, right?

Why was he specifically chosen to transmigrate into this novel?

It couldn't just be because his first and last name were identical to the original villain's name, right?

What exactly IS the system?

Eh oh well, he couldn't really be bothered thinking about nor did he care about it right now, because he has to think about the next upcoming plot after all.
