Chapter 24 Waste Of Time
Chapter 24 Waste Of Time
"Great, I can't wait to waste my entire day today waiting for some heroines." Right after Ronald had woken up, and got off his bed, there was a knocking at his door.
*Tap tap*
"Huh? Who is it?"
"Young Master Kuangge, it's me, Iris. There's breakfast for you downstairs."
"Okay thank yo- wait a second, how did you know when I woke up?" Ronald was speechless, even if Iris was a killer and her hearing senses was more enhanced than normal people, how did she know exactly when he woke up?
"As the Young Master's personal maid, I have to be attentive to you at all times just like the Young Master said last night, so I waited outside your room in the morning until I heard movements inside your bedroom." Iris actually stood guard outside of Ronald's room almost the entire night, only leaving her position once to get a two hour nap before standing guard again.
All of the maids and butlers that had passed her during the time she was keeping guard couldn't help but be astonished by the dedication of Ronald's personal maid despite it being her first day on the job, and silently gave her a thumbs up.
"Okay, don't wait outside my room like this again." Ronald felt creeped out knowing that one of the heroines was waiting outside of his room like this.
"Sorry Young Master, it won't happen again." Iris's head drooped down, she wanted to be by his side the moment he wakes up, but Ronald's words was like the law to her, so she reluctantly left.
"..." After making sure that Iris had left, Ronald sighed and changed his clothes and picked up his sunglasses and a basic white baseball cap before heading downstairs.
Although Ronald wanted to go on a temper tantrum inside his head, he had to be cautious since he doesn't know if the heroines could actually hear his thought process.
When Ronald arrived to the dining room, he saw a variety of different cuisines from different parts of the world and Iris standing beside the dining seat he would always sit in.
"I won't be eating breakfast today, so just tell the chefs to pack it up and deliver it to my dad at his company or something." Even though Ronald was starving, he had planned to eat at the food stall instead since he wanted to be the first person to arrive at the food stall before any heroine does.
"Okay Young Master, are you going somewhere perhaps?" Iris noticed that Ronald had sunglasses and a cap on and seemed to be moving in a hurry.
"Whether I go somewhere or not is none of your business." Ronald gave Iris a quick glance before quickly rushing out of the door.
After seeing Ronald disappear from Iris's sights, she glanced around her surroundings for a few seconds to make sure that nobody was watching her and secretly snuck out of the Kuangge's household in order to follow Ronald.
Even though she knew that Ronald most likely had a few bodyguards with him, she was worried that something might happen to him and wanted to ensure his safety.
[Okay, take care host.]
And just like that, Ronald had spent the rest of his day sitting at a bench doing absolutely nothing.

As the sun was slowly setting down...
'God damn it, what an actual waste of time.' Ronald was extremely infuriated, even though he confirmed it at this point that the heroines couldn't actually hear his thought process and should've been satisfied with that, he was mad about the fact that he could've spent his day doing anything else, but yet he threw it away like this.
After calming himself for a bit, Ronald started to reconsider everything that the system had told him.
The system had previously told him that the plot was still continuing smoothly and that the heroines 'started to think outside the box' even though all the heroines seemed like they had changed their personality.
So this could possibly only meant one thing.
The possibility being that the heroines haven't actually changed their original personalities and the plot can actually still progress smoothly, and their sudden change in attitude towards him was because they had started thinking for themselves and felt like offending someone they've never heard of before was better than offending the Kuangge family.
Of course there are some obvious loopholes in this possibility like their sudden change in attitude towards him when they had been extremely harsh on him before, but it was the most plausible answer Ronald could think of, and he had multiple evidences to back it up as well.
The first evidence was that Iris was constantly staring at him throughout the entire day today, which clearly meant that even though she had acted weird during the Pavilion plot, she hadn't forgotten her original task which was to monitor him and report back to Ye Fan everything he's done.
The second evidence he had in mind was that the heroines despite the fact that there was so many thoughout the story, never tried to interfere in a different plot that didn't involve them.
The perfect example of this is when Luna had offered him a ride to the Pavilion, but didn't actually enter the Pavilion with him.
Ronald had also thought about it last night after seeing Li Wanruo's doting attitude towards him, if the heroines actually loved him for whatever reason, wouldn't they at least try and interfere with the different plot that Ronald was in, in order to make sure that he was safe and sound?
After thinking about it for awhile, Ronald couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief and felt hopeful in his heart.
'Haha, I guess I was just overthinking it after all, I just need to relax my vigilance and just focus on completing my role properly as a brainless rich second generation villain and go back to earth.'
And so with that thought in mind, Ronald headed back home with a big smile on his face and went to bed getting ready to complete his next plot tomorrow.
'Even if tomorrow's plot ends up slightly looking different than the original plot, I'm sure everything will go well.'
