"Uhm... Well... I was wondering if you can give me your p-p-phone n-number so I can umm... l-let you know in advance whenever I find something that interests you...? Yeah that's it." Li Wanruo couldn't help but get nervous and started stuttering her sentences.
Although she had a reputation as being a domineering and ruthless individual towards everyone, she couldn't help but become extremely shy whenever she was facing her beloved.
'Okay cool, so I didn't hear it wrong. Seems like this entire novel world is going against me or something like that, that's great.' Ronald was mentally worn out at this point.
Even though he had only completed one plot so far and was about to finish his second one, ever since he had regressed back to the beginning of the novel, nothing has gone his way at all.
He just couldn't understand why all the heroines had been acting so weird lately, and he thought about it for a while.
Originally he was planning on rejecting Li Wanruo and maintaining his personality as Luna's slave, but he decided he was just going to ask Li Wanruo directly.
"If you're willing to answer one of my questions, then sure, I don't mind." Ronald knew that he had to get to the bottom of this, even if it was out of character for him, otherwise he wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully at night.
"Of course my bel- Young Master Kuangge, what is it?" Li Wanruo knew she had to restrain herself and give Ronald time to get to know her slowly, otherwise he'll start distancing himself from her.
"Although I'm aware that you're afraid of how grandiose my background is, how come you act so differently towards me compared to some of the other major families out there?" Ronald knew how foolish this question sounded.
But it was a better question than what he was going to ask which was something along the lines of why she had been so nice to him, which would've made Li Wanruo realize that he was just pretending to be arrogant which would've undoubtedly ruin his personality and the entire plot.
After hearing Ronald's question, she didn't respond immediately. Instead, she recalled all the times she had helped Ye Fan and harmed Ronald in the past, and an extremely depressed look crossed her face.
"What's wrong? You still haven't told me." Noticing the depressed look Li Wanruo had on her face, he felt like that Li Wanruo was being forced to act this way, and secretly became a little cheerful, but the last time he started assuming things, he got completely proven wrong, so he decided to wait and hear Li Wanruo out.
Has Li Wanruo been stalking him all this time?
Does Li Wanruo actually love him?
Or was he just thinking too much?
Thinking about all of the potential possiblities in his head that caused both the heroine and the plot to start changing, he started to have a headache.
Of course, this didn't mean that he assumed the plot was completely ruined yet.

"Well I already have some bodyguards on standby." Ronald really wanted to run away now, he felt that Li Wanruo was too poisonous.
"Okay, I won't bother you anymore today then. I hope you have a good rest of your night, Young Master Kuangge." Li Wanruo could tell that Ronald wanted to leave, and so she decided to not bother him for the rest of the day, and turned back around to the Pavilion.
After watching Li Wanruo disappear from his sights, Ronald glanced at Iris who was on the sidelines seemingly cautious of something, and sighed.
'Well, on the bright side of things, at least I managed to bring Iris to get on my side today and confirmed that she was still working with Ye Fan, so at least I don't have to wait for her tomorrow.'
'Haah, I really need to have a good talk with the system again after this to verify and double check on some things...'
