Chapter 126 Heroine Dilemma
Chapter 126 Heroine Dilemma
'Well that just happened...' Ronald couldn't help but think in his head about what had happened last night as he was currently sitting at an luxurious restaurant decored with white table cloths, crystal glasses on the tables, expensive china cutlery and expensive gold-plated tableware with Gu Changsheng.
After watching the fight between Iris and Kedron last night, there was quite a lot of information he had to digest.
First and foremost is the outcome of the fight.
Now it wasn't a surprise to Ronald that Iris had managed to survive Kedron's onslaught twice in a row.
But what had honestly intrigued him was the fact that Iris had managed to kill Kedron.
Since Kedron was on the assassin's list of Immortals, and Iris was only on the assassin's list of Titans, albiet she's as strong as someone on the celestial list now, it should've stand to reason that Kedron should've emerged out as victorious in that fight.
Not only that, but the way Iris had managed to defeat Kedron was pretty... interesting to say the least.
In Kedron's eyes, it might've seemed like Kedron had taken advantage of the situation by knocking the dagger away from Iris's hand, but in actuality, it was an illusion that Iris had created by taking advantage of the black fog that Kedron had created.
After all, although Kedron had the ability to summon out the black fogs and could see more clearly in the fog than his opponents, it wasn't like he was completely immune to it either and also had some slight problems seeing through it, judging from his movement.
Iris seemed to have realized that as well and pretended that Kedron had knocked the dagger out of her hand by throwing the dagger up in the air, and then swiftly catching it behind her back while Kedron was spouting out about how strong he was.
Afterwards, when Kedron truly thought that he had won the fight and completely dropped his guard, Iris managed to swiftly cut off his hand and both of his legs, which was honestly pretty disheartening to see considering that Kedron was such a valuable asset not only for the Kuangge family, but for Ronald as well.
Sadly there was really nothing that Ronald could've done about it to prevent his death.
Well anyways, the most shocking thing that he had witnessed wasn't what had happened during the fight, but after the fight had concluded, when Iris tried to commit suicide.
And Ronald wasn't oblivious as to why she had thought about committing suicide, since he heard the conversation that Iris and Kedron had.
What he had thought was going to originally happen was that after Iris founded out that Ronald had indeed gotten someone to kill her, she would get extremely furious and start hating him, bringing her original personality back like he had wanted to.
But instead, all he got was a depressed Iris who had immediately resorted to committing suicide the moment she figured out that Ronald hated her.
Like couldn't she had at least try to figure out why he had tried to kill her to begin with?
And why the hell did Iris started to heavily burst out in tears after he had sent her a text message?
Literally all he said was "Hope you make a full recovery soon, I would hate to see you die on me."
Sure, it wasn't like he's ever said anything nice to Iris before, but could someone really burst into tears for an entire three hours over a simple message like that?
Nevertheless, since Iris still doesn't hate him despite fully knowing that he had tried to assassinate her, his next goal should be to try and actually get Ling Feng killed before his next plot starts in about two weeks from now.
But that beckons the question, how was Ronald, a minor villain, going to kill someone like Ling Feng, a protagonist?
And the question to that is he won't.
He'll just get Iris to murder him instead.
That's right, Ronald firmly believes that Iris is a protagonist now.
"..." Seeing as how pitiful Gu Changsheng sounded, Ronald decided not to make fun about Gu Changsheng's private life like he had always done in his previous life and opened the second envelope.
This time however, Ronald subconsciously grinned in a manner quite terrifying after looking at the picture he had just received.
Why?
Because this picture of Ye Fan entering a luxurious jade factory reminded him about the first ever time he had beaten up Ye Fan and made a complete mess out of him.
That's right, the first time he actually started standing up for himself against Ye Fan was none other than at the jade factory.
And to be honest, Ronald was really quite fond of those memories.
After all, even though Ronald had been extremely nervous in his heart when he first beated up Ye Fan, or really anyone for that matter, it signified the beginning of his transformation and eventually turned him into the person that he is today.
'Well considering everything that I had done in my previous life, I'm not exactly proud of the person I've become today, but hey, at least I grew out of being that pathetic weaking that used to be scared of his own blood.'
"Uh Ronald, are you okay? Why are you making such a weird face?" Gu Changsheng, who couldn't help but start to feel uncomfortable by the second due to the silence and scary look on Ronald's face, broke the silence between the two.
"Sorry, got a little lost in thought. So what exactly are you trying to show me here?" Realizing that one of his bad habits from his previous life was starting to creep back up on him, Ronald quickly regained back his composure and inquired.
"You're good, but you see that Jade Factory that bitch is entering into?" Gu Changsheng said.
"I do."
"For the past day and a half or so, he's been constantly going in and out of the jade factory for whatever reason, and since the manager of that jade factory said the bitch will also come back tomorrow, I reckon that we should go pay him a little visit." Gu Changsheng announced in a wicked voice.
"You sure that's a good idea? Aside from the fact that your dad would get angry at you, how do you even know that your bodyguards can beat him? You saw what had happened the last couple of times." Despite knowing fully well what Gu Changsheng's answer was, Ronald still tried to put some sense in him.
"Don't worry, I'm bringing in some extra help this time around, besides, don't you have those bodyguards dressed in some weird traditional chinese clothing lingering around you?"
"Not anymore."
"Well whatever, you still down to watch him get beat up tomorrow?"
"Sorry, but I'm still most likely going to be quite busy tomorrow, so I'll have to decline your offer. Good luck though." Ronald stated in a polite manner.
To be honest, had Gu Changsheng asked at a different time, Ronald definitely wouldn't of mind joining Gu Changsheng and reliving his memories once again, granted he would still have to hide his identity, but considering that he still needed to secretly monitor Iris and try to come up with a way to make her mind stable again, he had to sadly reject Gu Changsheng's offer.
"Thanks." Gu Changsheng then lifted up the wine cup on his hand, "To a successful beating tomorrow, cheers."
"Cheers." Ronald smiled lightly at Gu Changsheng's gesture and also raised his cup in the air to toast with Gu Changsheng.
With that, the two celebrated together for the rest of the evening.
'Now that I think about it...'
'Isn't it a little too early on for Ye Fan to be visiting the jade factory?'
'...'
'Fuck this butterfly effect.'@@@@
