Chapter 47 49:Step Aside Pest
Chapter 47 49:Step Aside Pest
Emilia Lisabeth, the homeroom teacher of class AB214. Being in charge of high-ranking and low-ranking spoiled brats wasn't something to be trifled with.
"I see... You had it tough." A pity flashed in her eyes as she observed the bandage wrapped around me after I narrated the tale of how I was stuck in the calamity of demon land.
"The emergence of gates and voids from the abyss has been quite spontaneous recently. Who knows when the calamity will strike you? But what were you doing there?" she inquired.
"I had a few friends whom I had to meet," I lied, hoping for her not to ponder.
As gamers believe, being an orphan is the best person to possess, as it would get rid of many problems.
"Whatever! Thankfully, you aren't one of those spoiled brats who have given up." Emilia spoke and then paused a bit as she observed me up and down.
"I hope you don't lose your vigor. The limitations imposed on your body aren't absolute. As long as one strives forward and pushes the boundaries, you will see the result."
"As they say, where there is a will, there is a way."
I nodded, appreciating her efforts.
She wasn't a kind individual, but she was a respectful teacher who didn't treat students partially. Being someone of commoner origin who reached her position, she knew the effects of talents, blessings, and limits.
"You can leave, but make sure to attend class regularly."
I stood up, gave a bow, and left.
...
Seeing his back, Emilia opened the tabs and looked into the data.
"Lukas Star... Nothing about him is similar to a person who ranked low. From the way he carries himself to his mannerisms, his behavior, and the confidence oozing out of his eyes, all of it is way different from the way he behaved previously."
Since the academy allowed people to stay early as a kind gesture, the staff made sure to keep tabs on them.
Lukas Star always had that gloomy, cowardly aura. Before bullies, he was the first one to break down. But all of this changed after that fall.
Thinking this, she lampooned her judgment and looked at the crystal placed on the table beside her.
If it were the prior Lukas, before I took over, he would have just walked around keeping his head down, finding it suffocating to even look into others' eyes due to self-esteem that had been crushed brutally.
Arriving at the bustling cafeteria located in the heart of the academy, the sounds of chatter and buzzing activity enveloped me. It was a popular gathering place for students, especially during this mid-morning hour. The aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air, tempting my senses.
Taking a moment to scan the array of options, I sought out a meal that would not only satisfy my hunger but also enhance my body. I couldn't hide the fact that I was a foodie, so I wanted something nourishing yet appetizing, and yeah, I wanted a good calorie-packed dessert at the end.
I was about to order when someone shouted.
"Step aside, pest!"
"Huh?" I turned back and saw a platinum-haired woman standing behind me, folding her hands.
"Huh! What did you say?"
"I didn't hear it properly."
The woman's expression turned into disgust as her eyes locked on mine.
"Haa! That's why I don't like commoners. Learn some manners. It's rude to make others repeat themselves."
"Now step back and let me order, commoner. As nobles, it's our right to step ahead of commoners."
I opened my lips to argue but shut up.
Knowing who she was, I immediately stepped aside to not drag matters.
The woman looked at me in approval and walked ahead, swaying her platinum-colored hair.
"It's good that you know your position as a pest."
She ordered some ultra-royal-level food and hired staff to carry it as she walked away towards the upper rooms.
"She is really more annoying in real life than in the game, but..."
'Let's see how much longer you can keep this up,' I thought inwardly as a sharp glint flashed in my eyes while I stared back.
