The Bigshot's Superstar Wife

Chapter 88: The Battle for the Throne

Chapter 88: The Battle for the Throne

The princess sat in front of the mirror, her dark cloak flowing around her like a shadow.

Her long hair, the color of midnight, cascaded down her back, and her piercing eyes were the same shade of deep blue as the sky before a storm.

Her features were delicate, yet there was an undeniable power in her face.

A face that seemed to belong to someone else, a face that seemed to be a perfect, feminine reflection of Mors.

The resemblance between them was uncanny, as if fate had forged them from the same mold.

"Are you certain this is the right path?" she asked the maid, her voice low and measured, as though every word was carefully weighed.

The maid, a loyal servant who had been with the princess for many years, bowed her head respectfully.

"Your Highness, you need not worry. The prince has taken great measures to ensure your safety. Planet Asenus is a place where you’ll be safe, away from the dangers that threaten your life here."

The princess’ brow furrowed slightly.

"Safe? How can I trust that? My entire life has been spent hiding from the truth of who I am. I’ve learned to trust no one. And now, I must leave the safety of these walls and venture to a place where I’ve never been? It doesn’t seem right."

The maid hesitated, but only for a moment.

"Your Highness, you must trust in Major General Mors. He has always kept you safe. And this... this journey is important. He has prepared everything to ensure you’re not in danger."

"Do not address my brother like that!"

The princess stood up slowly, walking over to the window.

Her reflection in the glass looked almost ethereal, but deep within her heart, a sense of dread gnawed at her.

She had been in hiding for so long, always knowing that the truth of her identity, her true heritage, was something that could not be revealed.

The world was dangerous for people like her, for people like Mors and herself, and she had learned from an early age to keep to the shadows.

But now, it seemed, the day of reckoning had come. And despite the reassurances from her maid, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something terrible awaited her on this journey.

She could still feel the weight of the world pressing down on her, the knowledge that her life was at stake, that she could be assassinated at any moment.

She had no idea who was after her, only that the danger was real.

But as the ship flew through the stars, a sudden jolt shook the vessel. The princess’ eyes snapped open, and she could hear shouting from the other side of the ship.

Her heart sank as the ship swayed again, this time more violently. Something was wrong.

The ship shuddered again, this time with more force. A loud explosion rocked the hull, and the princess was thrown against the wall.

Panic surged through her as she realized what was happening, the ship was under attack.

"Stay down!" one of the shadow guards shouted, grabbing the princess and pulling her to the floor.

The sound of blaster fire filled the air, followed by the screams of soldiers who were already on the battlefield.

The princess’ breath quickened as she instinctively reached for the weapon hidden beneath her cloak.

For years, she had trained in secret, honing her skills as a fighter. It was the only way she had survived this long, and now, in the face of an attack, she knew it was time to fight.

She stood up, ignoring the pain in her body from the force of the crash. The guards were already engaged in combat, but the princess was ready.

She drew her weapon, her movements fluid and precise as she rushed toward the breach in the ship’s hull.

Outside, a group of masked assailants was attacking, their weapons firing relentlessly at the ship.

The princess knew they weren’t here for any ordinary reason. She had been targeted, again.

She moved with the speed and grace of a seasoned warrior, dodging incoming blasts and striking with deadly precision.

The fight was chaotic, but the princess was in her element. She was a force to be reckoned with, and despite the odds, she fought to protect herself and those she cared about.

As the battle raged on, the princess realized just how much was at stake. Her life, her identity, her future, everything was hanging in the balance.

But one thing was certain, she was no longer the helpless princess she had once been. She was a warrior, and she would fight for her survival.
