Road to be the Best Chess Player in the World!

Chapter 637: Biel Once Again!

Chapter 637: Biel Once Again!

Chapter 637: Biel Once Again! Time passed by pretty quickly, and before Sheva knew, he had already found himself walking out of the Zurich Airport. He groaned while also stretching his body a little bit, moving around to keep blood flowing after having to sit for more than three hours on the plane.

"What? Having jetlag?" Seeing him like this, Bagas couldn’t help but tease.

"Bah! Do you think I am that weak?!" Sheva glared at his best friend fiercely. "Also, how in the hell are you so okay like this? I mean, you are also sitting straight at the seat for more than three hours, right? Don’t you feel tired or something like that?" He asked curiously.

Indeed, Bagas was the biggest anomaly that Sheva had ever seen in his life. The boy didn’t look that much, but he always enjoyed travelling through the air, not even being bothered, no matter which class he boarded in. It was so strange to see him being energetic and jumping around like a child whenever the plane had just landed.

"Well, you don’t know this, but I love planes more than anything else! If not for this!" The fat boy slapped his stomach with a playful grin, "I would’ve been in a pilot school by now!"

Sheva couldn’t help but laugh, somehow remembering the past. Bagas right now might be decent, what with him hitting the gym regularly and eating more healthy food in his daily life. He was still a big boy, but the fat was replaced with muscle.

However, just a month ago, Bagas was this chubby boy who was obese, always devouring a huge chunk of fried chicken with instant noodles every night. He was a poster boy of a life habit that people should avoid.

"Anyway, let’s go. If we are not going soon, we will have to wait for the next train, and maybe we will also be in the same one with the others."

Well, that was definitely a tempting offer. The other seven people who came from Indonesia would arrive in the next three hours, and it was definitely possible for Sheva and Bagas to wait here. However, after thinking about it for a second, the boy shook his head, rejecting that idea decisively.

"Nah, we are too tired after the flight. Well, I am, at least. I need to have a good nap first before meeting with the others." Said Sheva.

"Well, sure! Let’s go!" Bagas nodded, grabbing the luggage with him while walking out of the airport.

Soon, they were already on the local train, sitting silently while also enjoying the peaceful scene outside.

’Damn, it has been a full year, huh?’ Sheva couldn’t help but sigh, resting his hand on the edge of the window while his eyes gazed at the lush scenery outside. ’Heh... From a complete rookie to one of the best youngsters in the world... Who would’ve thought that I could go this far?’ Sheva couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.

Indeed, Biel was not just a city for Sheva. This was the beginning of his career’s rise, emerging from a normal, talented player into a one-in-a-million genius of the century. Last year, he was just a country bumpkin, watching everything in amazement. Now, he was finally back, standing taller than ever, and the boy had nothing but gratitude toward this beautiful city.

’Next year, I will have to play here again.’ He clenched his fist tightly, and fire ignited inside his heart.

The journey was so peaceful, with the train itself not really stopping in that many stations. The weather outside was quite nice, as they were entering June already. It was so close to the summer time in Europe, and most people also started using a more casual shirt, throwing away all the thick winter jackets they had used in the past.

The situation started to get more crowded once they were so close to Biel, the final station where they had to leave. More people gathered, and some even started to set up a chessboard there with their friends, not bothering the surroundings at all.

’Yeah, it seems those are the local community who are going to play there as well.’ Bagas whispered lowly.

Sheva nodded, clearly remembering the same scene last year. Besides that, though, there was nothing happening during the journey, as it was basically quite uneventful. In the end, they finally arrived at Biel, where Sheva and Bagas ordered a taxi immediately to the hotel they had booked.

"Ah! This is life..." Bagas threw his body straight to the comfy car seat behind, letting out a deep sigh while closing his eyes peacefully. "Anyway, don’t think too much about chess, okay? This is your holiday week, use it to recuperate and relax your mind. Go on a date or something, don’t worry about the others!" The boy didn’t forget to warn his best friend here.

"Yeah, I know, don’t worry about me." Sheva just rolled his eyes while watching the boy from the rear-view mirror. "What about you? Are you going to stream the tournament?" He asked curiously.

"Of course, I will! This is a rare opportunity to introduce more talented players from our country! Is that what you want?" Bagas glanced at Sheva for a moment before adding, "Don’t worry, I will not go overboard! This is just a fun project for me!"

"Well, yeah, but don’t push yourself too far, okay?" Sheva was still worried even after hearing Bagas’s reassurance. After all, he had experienced burnout from work, and it was far from pleasant.

"Bah! Don’t worry, I know my limit!" Bagas just shrugged off the concern nonchalantly. "Anyway, rather than thinking too much about me, why don’t you start checking the girls? I swear, they should’ve been landed already at this point."

Sheva checked the time on his phone and nodded in agreement. If there were no delay, those seven should be in the airport already, wandering around before going to Biel like them next. With that in mind, he unlocked his phone, scrolling through his contacts and pushed the call button.

Within a second...

"Sheva! We are here!"
