CHAPTER 361 - The Lust-binding system.

"Who are you, Sophia?"

This was the only question that left Alex's lips as he stared right into Sophia's eyes, causing her to freeze.

It was a simple question for Alex.

'W-What?'

'W-Why is he asking a question like this?'

To Sophia, however, it was anything but simple.

Did Alex realize who she was? Was he testing her right now?

Or did her image in his mind change after he discovered who she was? Now, he was asking, which was the real her?

The only thing she was scared of was Alex knowing her past, as she knew her fault, and she knew that Alex wasn't going to like it.

She had seen enough Alexs to know what he wouldn't like.

But just as she was busy with her thoughts, her eyes quivering in trepidation, and her fists clenched, nails boring into her palm, trying to cope with the nervousness she felt, Alex spoke again.

"Hey, Sophia?? What was your full name? Who were you?"

His voice was tinged with curiosity, and his brows frowned in confusion; he was confused as to why Sophia wasn't answering, while curious about her background.

'Huh?'

Sophia, who heard his question, had her mind go blank, especially when she saw the perplexed and interested look on his face.

It was clear that he wasn't angry at her, nor was he being distant from her.

'So, did he not have his memories unlocked?'

Sophia thought inwardly as her eyes glanced at the multicolored panel in one corner of the room, shimmering brightly.

Next to that panel was a screen that kept blinking with a pie chart, and the pie was completely white with a single thin line of red color over it.

Sophia squinted her eyes, and the next second, a percentage showed to her.

'Sigh...'

Sophia finally sighed in relief as her tense body relaxed.

'It didn't change.'

She sighed again, and unknowingly, a tear of relief dropped down her eyes.

That was the pie chart that showed the progress in Alex's unlocked memories, and it had been 0.0005 since the moment Alex had gained the memories about shatter devourer.

Her tear, however, didn't fall to the ground as it landed on Alex's palm.

"You don't have to talk about it if you aren't comfortable with it."

Alex, who was now sitting straight as he leaned in closer to her, muttered with a frown.

From his perspective, Sophi getting stunned and averting her eyes was a clear display of unwillingness, and he never wanted to force her; he was merely curious about her background, but since she didn't want to talk about it, he wouldn't bring it up again.

He already had a plan for his memories of Sophia.

"Ah, I-It's not like—!"

Sophia, however, soon realized that she was giving out a bit too much of her emotions and if she did this, then wouldn't Alex feel like he should know more about her past?

But she froze the moment she saw two people appearing out of nowhere.

Her eyes, however, went as wide as they could the moment she saw Alex.

'D-Demon lord?'

Her silver eyes quivered in terror as she realized that Alex was way more dangerous than she had imagined, and...

'How the hell did he even know I was present, and even if he somehow found out, how did he trap me—!'

Her hourglass-shaped body trembled as she couldn't believe what was happening.

She never thought even in her dreams that someone from this world would ever be able to perceive her presence, especially after the world's will turned her into a system, but her thoughts came to a sudden halt the moment her eyes fell on Sophia.

'N-No way...'

Her eyes widened as she realized something.

"Y-You are a system as well?"

She shuttered as her eyes trembling silver eyes—which complemented her silver hair—looked into Sophia.

There wasn't any logical reason behind her coming to that conclusion; it was purely based on her instinct, but she knew that she was right, even more so when she saw the smile on Sophia's face widen.

"Looks like you're not that dumb."

Sophia nodded her head repeatedly as if satisfied with the silver-haired lady's actions.

'I-Is she stronger than me?'

For the first time, the lust-binding system, who had been the strongest powerhouse in her world, thought that she wasn't the strongest.

Especially because she was linked to her master's strength, and her master wasn't even a legendary ranker yet.

But just as she thought about Master, her eyes turned toward Alex, and a certain glint passed through her eyes.

Her thoughts, however, were cut off again as she heard a chuckle and a giggle going on at the same time; her gaze turned to look at Alex and Sophia, only to see them wiping off the fake tears from the corner of their eyes.

Their eyes had a mocking glint, looking at her as if she were an idiot, only adding to her agitation.

*Ssssss*

The next second, however, another drop of the way too-hot lava fell on her back, burning her flesh the moment it touched.

"Arghhh!"

She groaned in pain as she glared at Sophia, as she was sure that only she could do this.

What she didn't know was that the real show was just about to start.
