Planet Master

193- Blitz

193- Blitz

“While we are still underway, let’s discuss our strategy for the foreseeable future.” Tatsumi said seriously, and everyone turned their head toward him.“Well, the way Jeliel and the leader of the Slayer Division react shows that the reinforcement from the Outer Being is strong enough for them to take it seriously. It means that we are on the watch and they are likely to tail us.

“Therefore, I want to propose that we need to hit and run the Magadan Frontline for a bit. I assume that the size of the Magadan Frontline covered about twelve universes but this area is not the hot spot. Not only do we hit and run but we do it fast enough that the tail will not catch up to us. It is basically guerrilla warfare but in the void of space.” Tatsumi proposed his idea so confidently that people wanted to ask.

“Wait a moment. How do you want to proceed with that?” one person asked. Genuinely curious but also tempted to join in this operation.

“We need to basically eliminate a large number of Outer Beings before we directly take off to another location. Don’t fight a prolonged battle, don’t dawdle in a location for too long and don’t hold back against the weaker opponent. IS that understood?” Tatsumi explained before he asked with a face that showed no refusal, only flexibility to the plan.

“Should we join?” Ao Guang, as the leader of the Slayer Division, was here to protect Tritis but he asked this since the reinforcement of the Outer Being was likely to be strong enough to hold him off.

“You become our safety net. The moment the powerhouse appeared, we ran. And if they give chase…hehehe...all the better. Gang up on him. Quantitative change will definitely lead to qualitative change, after all.” Tatsumi laughed heartily, as if the strong enemy was actually the one in trouble.

From what Tatsumi observed so far, the Outer Being was strictly hierarchical. From what Jeliel and Ao Guang had informed him, the stronger Outer Being gained their own sentience and were obsessed with not giving up something.

‘Well, perhaps the things they could not give up is actually the repository of memories and knowledge they possessed. The wrong intended recipient will likely get what is known as corruption since some sort of mechanism protects the memories and knowledge…well that’s what my wife Charlene theorized.’ Tatsumi felt that this made sense and was also the reason why other living beings, other than humans, were caught in corruption, and that the process was reversible when a human was there to receive the information.

If not, then the information would be corrupted for good along with the death of the infected individual. The dust that formed by the death of the Outer Being was actually an information carrier which could be benign or ferally corrupt depending on the receiver.

‘Looks like the other races under the other deities have also understood that.’ Kudungga commented.

‘Yes, it is that obvious when it comes to the humans here. The four of us are the best absorbers of the Outer Beings’ dusts.’ Tatsumi replied.

‘Even the distance cannot completely sever the connection you have with us.’ Chi You commented with amazement.

‘It is a bit delayed since the size of the entire reality is vaster than we all think.’ Tatsumi thought.

Then he saw the surprised look Ame had as she looked at him and he gave her a wink. Ame was amused and nodded.

‘Looks like she got what she needed to know.’ Tatsumi inwardly sighed.

Proposing the hit and run while blitzing through the Outer Beings was a reckless plan but an effective one since their presence and action had an effect on the Magadan Frontline, even if it was little.

“Should I have told you that you are one daring human?” Ao Guang had no choice but to agree. Their task was to ensure the safety of Tritis’ group and Tritis’ group would follow Dian’s group. So it was better to work with them rather than against them. The first forty-eight hours were the qualification demonstration and Tatsumi knew it.

“Well, if they aimed at Her Excellency’s life anyway we act, we might as well put the fight to their yard.” Tatsumi said this but he felt sad that Magadan Frontline was actually still inside the home field so this could not be done.

What he could do, however, was to annoy them like flies flying and buzzing around them but had to avoid their swatters.

-

When they executed the hit and run, everyone seemed tense at first but then relaxed a bit since most things were covered by the ideas from everyone.

And by everyone meant including Tritis’s advice and Dian’s cautiousness.

Tatsumi exchanged blows with another Outer Being. This time, its form was that of a tentacle monster. The tentacles served as limbs so Tatsumi had a hard time matching the tentacles but then he just needed to sever the tentacles to make things easier.

Then, with the movement technique, moved forward quickly and severed one of the main tentacles with the Violet Sun Blade Intent powered up by the Martial Will.

The tentacles then retaliated by swinging at Tatsumi but instead of retreating, he advanced once more.

Finding the vital part, Tatsumi thrusted his Dragonsbane at the vital part while stepping in a certain manner and barely avoiding the tentacles. Then red blood sprayed out as the vital part was hit and Tatsumi thrusted the blade deeper before he slashed upward.

On another note, Bore was actually fighting against the humanoid Outer Being which used its human limbs, arms and legs like a melee martial artist.

Bore then used the transcendent circulation technique while also gaining insight into the combat, countering hard with softness and straight lines with circles, or, even better, redirecting them toward the attacker.

This martial arts style was taught to him by Tatsumi, but Tatsumi himself was not delving deeper into it.

Then Bore used hardness to counter softness, reaching to gouge out the heart. The Outer Being tried to retreat and gained distance but Bore threw it off-balance before executing it by smashing its torso and penetrating its body, reaching its heart.

Blood sprayed out as Bore finally grasped its heart in his hand.

Ame finished the battle by dealing numerous wounds on the target. Shooting, thrust, slash, blunt attack- she did all of it while changing the form of her weapons.

What surprised the onlookers the most was Charlene. She battled the Outer Being using the formation plate and positioning, frustrating the Outer Being.

Then she finished it off by deploying a killing formation that contained hundreds of slashes domain toward it.

Everyone was finishing the Outer Beings at a fast rate. Ao Guang and Jeliel’s separate bodies were deployed on the outskirts to be the first line of alert defense against powerful Outer Beings.

Then Dian’s group which was battling against the Outer Being’s group, went to the mothership to quickly move from one location to another while the Slayer Division members protected Tritis’ group by their side.

After another twenty-four hours, they moved between the star systems.

This completed one round of the hit-and-run tactic. Tatsumi even counted the time for the reinforcement to come up using his Karmic Eyes to judge the karma between him and his enemy.

The more they defeated enemies, the more the dust flowed toward the four humans. Even though Dian’s group was a bit disappointed at not being able to improve that way, their battle prowess and experience increased dramatically.

Tatsumi allowed them, since they, too, were transcendent and should try to fight Outer Beings. He did not want humanity to be the sole fighter against the Outer Being, and Dian shared his view.

Then after a week of doing this…

Ao Guang finally could see that the reinforcements were quicker to send, and Tatsumi and his group were fighting against the Outer Being when it appeared.

“You damn weaklings…How dare you run around and mess things up!” Tatsumi looked up at the source of the voice and found out that the manifestation above had become so lifelike and covered the entire star system.

Furthermore, the first talking Outer Being he had ever seen.

Ao Guang and Jeliel looked at the Outer Being with an indifferent expression, Ao Guang because he was stronger than the Outer Being while Jeliel was indifferent because there was no need to install emotional expression on a battle body.

Then Ao Guang used his arms, forming a claw as he transformed his arm partially, not like human arm anymore but the arm of the oriental dragon.

-Divine Dragon Claw-

Dian saw this and incorporated it into his repertoire of moves while Tatsumi finished off his opponent before helping the others, causing a snowball effect and finishing things off faster due to circumstances.

Then they watched as they went to the mothership.

The reinforcement was actually just one entity and Ao Guang engaged with it. The sky seemed to split as the ground felt like trembling. Space seemed to be distorted and time seemed to slow down.

After entering the mothership, everyone looked at the battle, which shook reality itself.

“This is the battle of the higher realm transcendent.” Tatsumi murmured as he watched the battle.

Everyone seemed to agree with what he said. Ao Guang exchanged moves with the higher realm Outer Being, causing the spatial layer to be torn and revealed. Jeliel then went to reinforce Ao Guang. The Slayer Division watched with awe and reverence for the strong.

Dian’s group felt that they needed to watch this. It was a rare occurrence where strong transcendent beings battled. Although they could not glean much, the experience itself was precious.

Tatsumi realized that strength that was sufficient enough could affect reality in such a way, Ame realized that one move could have variations and transformation, Long Wu realized that concentrated strike could be lethal if it could not be avoided, Bore realized that the battle was like this, dynamic and ever changing, and Charlene realized that everything could be a formation since the attack resembled a formation.

‘So that is how it is.’ Dian’s group thought similarly.

Dian knew what they were thinking and felt relieved. They learned something important on their transcendent path and wanted to quickly absorb it to be unique to their own.

Although this involved the protector that had been sent to Tritis, but to Dian, this was a good decision.

“Well, support the fighter unit.” Tritis said after some time of recovery.

This time, Tabitha went to support Ao Guang. Tatsumi saw that Tabitha’s body was covered by multicolored light and then a connection between her and Ao Guang was established.

Ao Guang then took the advantage to make the battle in his term, changing his stance and rhythm to be his.

“Hmm.” The Outer Being realized that someone was supporting Ao Guang and then glanced at the source. The Slayer Division protected Tabitha, ready to intercept anything that seek to harm her.

Dian and his group looked at this and knew that with the support, Ao Guang transformed himself into his true form. Once again, he executed Divine Dragon Claw as well as sweeping his tail toward the Outer Being.

The Outer Being was humanoid but with an elongated head with sharp reverse joints; its limbs were actually weapons that could launch projectiles, shooting at Ao Guang.

But Ao Guang’s scales were formidable and could even deflect some projectiles, making them almost ineffective.

The Divine Dragon Claw then sought to hit the Outer Being. The Outer Being could now account for the attack and slightly turned to the side, avoiding the claw while using the limbs to shoot something toward Ao Guang’s limb.

Blood flowed out despite Ao Guang being supported by Tabitha. Ao Guang roared in annoyance while the Outer Being kept glancing at the mothership, where the source of support came from. But then laser weapons shot at him. The Outer Being had to dodge it with all his might. This laser was different from the usual laser weaponry, so his carefulness paid off as the laser hit the mountain and caused a hole to appear from one side to the other.

“Weapon Platform Jeliel ready for support.” Jeliel announced. Ao Guang felt relief at the sight of Jeliel.

“Well then, let’s put this Outer Being to rest. We still need to help our junior in completing his requirement.” Ao Guang clenched his claws before flying toward the Outer Being once again.

The mothership on the other hand went away from the battlefield since Jeliel knew the destruction from the higher realm transcendent. They quickly left the planet but soon, the planet was unable to bear the power of destruction from the transcendents that fought there, turning the surface into smithereens while lava was going out to the surface of the planet, causing tectonic movement across the planet.

This happened in the first fifteen seconds of the battle since the mothership left.

“I believe that the two can return to our side anytime they are done. Let’s stir up some more trouble and then we call it quits.” Tatsumi said with a confident smile.

“How are you faring?” Charlene asked Tabitha since the connection was still exist between her and Ao Guang.

“I am fine. Just spent some transcendent energy to maintain the connection.” Tabitha replied with a serious face.

“We need to escape the galaxy now that the two are fighting. The planet’s space is being torn apart and soon the reinforced space will also break apart. No, we need to go to another Universe altogether.” Ame, realizing that the higher realm transcendent was so strong, estimated that their destructive power without protection from anything would be truly devastating. That was why she suggested that they needed to go to another universe for safety.

“Looks like it.” Tatsumi said as he could modify the bridge to be able to look behind them. Tatsumi was focused on interpreting the power that the higher realm transcendent used as well as gleaning some techniques involved.

His eyes and mind were slowly overwhelmed by the information but Tatsumi tried to process it to make it truly his own. Static, that was what he felt sometimes when he comprehended something that exceeded his mind, but Tatsumi always found a way to translate it into proper information.

‘So it can be done like that. My horizon has been broadened.’ Tatsumi thought to himself.

Dian felt it the most. His heart was beating so fast and his perception was focused on the battle that destroyed part of the star system now. This is the first time he felt threatened by the power of the transcendent.

Dian felt threatened but also felt a strange sense of joy.

“Please be at the center of the circle.” Tatsumi said to Dian while his back was facing toward him.

“I appreciate your concern but I am safe here.” Dian replied.

“As long as we are inside the mothership, nothing big will happen. Even Her Excellency Tritis is with me here, so what are you afraid of?” Dian added but he felt something from Tatsumi. He looked not with his normal sight but using Karmic Eyes and he looked concerned.

“Please protect the Father God and the rest.” Tatsumi murmured to not only Jeliel and the Slayer Division but also to Tritis’ group as well as to the rest of his group.

“What are you talking about?” Ame wanted to ask for clarification but seeing the tense expression on Tatsumi’s face, she bit her lips and very reluctantly agreed. For him to request that of everyone present meant that the threat to them was not gone.

Tatsumi unsheathed Dragonsbane, his energy circulation technique as well as the Gate of Opening was fully open and bolstering him.

“Support me, please!” Tatsumi looked at Tritis’ group and said this.

Except for Tabitha, the rest of Tritis’ group then connected to him and gave their full support. Apparently, they also felt the threat even Tritis understood it well.

Dian felt frustrated because he was only a low-rank Planet Master; he could not use more energy points to help. He was dirt poor and sending Tatsumi and his group here was already consuming some energy points he had gathered so far.

For the first time, Dian felt what weakness truly was in the face of absolute power that could not be bridged.

His only hope was Tatsumi, since he was a main fighter in numerous Star Battles and the support from Tritis’ group empowered him to reach late Rank 4. His battle prowess was that he could match an early Rank 6 transcendent and no more.

“Looks like that hothead is right. Here you are!” A pressure and a presence were coming toward the mothership.

Although Tritis’ group was strong in support, but fighting was not their forte. Most of them could only match Rank 5 transcendent in a direct battle, and Tabitha, who was the strongest, had to support Ao Guang, which was light-years away, a feat only she could do.

“A split body.” Tatsumi said as if stating something.

“Does that mean the Outer Being that Senior Ao Guang faced split up?” one member of the Slayer Division became tense as they were prepared to engage the enemy.

“Yes. The karma is obvious.” Tatsumi replied.

Then the Outer Being split body went to the mothership, attacking it with space-folding and even reality itself became warped.

Fortunately, the mothership was designed to tank those kinds of attacks, so the effect was minimal.

“Well, as the Second-in-Command, I order you all to engage the enemy.” The rest of the Slayer Division obeyed the words and went out to engage with the split body from the Outer Being that managed to catch up with them.
