Chapter 351 Solidifying The Hold
Chapter 351 Solidifying The Hold
First thing first, Loimos paid a little visit to the Tamaris's royal palace, checking the secret rooms were livings had been hiding, until they suddenly vanished, remnants of their life force were still present, those rooms had been left as is, the miasma not allowed to seep inside, so as to allow the undeads to inspect what had happened, and perhaps even find out where they had gone, Irmandos was currently investigating the room that had gathered bits of life force from those who had challenged Loimos.
His locusts crawled over the walls, buzzing as they flew in the air, the shards of something that had been partly lodged inside the wall, an odd and incredibly complex device that would have to be given to the master mages for analysis.
Loimos was given a shard of one of such orbs which remains had been found in every single of those hidden rooms, although the pieces discovered inside of the one Irmandos was currently in was somewhat different it appeared, the theory that it was the main piece of this set was emitted but it could not be confirmed just yet.
The rotten skeleton tried to understand the point of the device by decaying a part of it, but it wasn't very conclusive, all powers seemed to have been consumed, and only remained part of the enchantments, which did not tell much at all, apart from the obvious, being that it had a transportative effect.
As such, since there was nothing he could do to help immediately there, Loimos alongside his little entourage returned to the royal crypt, where he intended on gathering an appropriate amount of recruits, appropriate being an astounding amount that was hard to wrap one's head around, such numbers were not exactly hard to find within the undead empire, considering that new troops emerged from the ground every hour, but that did not mean that they could be trained into powerful forces, naturally spawned undeads usually joined a group of rank and file.
And Loimos was not aiming for his troops to be same as that of the larger legion, having been granted a wide span of rooms, which were wide enough to fit in entire cities, some of those would soon house the pure undead's mass of extra limbs, allowing him to perform outlandish arts on a whim, but the majority would still be left entirely empty, this was where he would begin the formation of his troops.@@@@
Holding out his palm, Loimos caught a small branch filled with already bursting fruits, all appearing like apples, each were filled with the seeds of the Lithitree, this branch and all that it carried were the last ingredients Loimos sought to add to the chalice.
And so, without lingering on as faces rose to gaze upon the magnificence of the pale bark, which appeared in a mere instant, this further solidified the presence of death upon Viridis, this should enhance the amount of natural undeads, born of naught by the ambient death, much like Loimos himself, they would be created already dead, remains crafted in the moment, having never belonged to a living.
Leaving the scene like he had nothing to do with it, Loimos returned to the chalice, all around him were all sorts of materials that could easily be considered legendary, it was not difficult for Loimos to get a hold of them however, simply needing to ask.
Most body parts belonged to all sorts of undeads, including the important members of the legion, gravelords, advisors, minor lords, every and all of them had participated, after all, there was nothing to lose, and Loimos was the champion, the only one bearing this title in such an official manner.
The most important pieces being a black flame, sourced directly from Luminary Nitok's hollow sockets, other parts of the gravelords and of course, the branch of the Lithitree, putting everything he had gathered into the bowl, grounding it all together, adding a hefty amount of his primeval rot and rotten blood, all was coalescing together.
Allowing the substance to rest for a while, it soon ignited with a flame of its own, filling the chalice entirely, it looked like Loimos had been successful, although he had not quite known what the end result would be.
He just had to test it himself, to see if it was the thing that he would grant upon his own rank and file, his main forces.
