Pestilence: Rise Of The Pure Undead

Chapter 192 Hide And Seek

Chapter 192 Hide And Seek

The freezing dragon roared in direction of where the old tree had stood, presumably conveying something unfriendly to him considering the first action it had taken, only then did it turn to Loimos, the beast and undead staring at one another, the winged one moving it to the side, inspecting the skeleton intently.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Recognising him from back then, tilting its head, puffing cold fog from its nostrils, looking off into the distance and back at the undead, reaching a swift understanding as to what he was up to, roaring, the cold intensified brutally, the sound of its mighty vocalisation carrying a deadly frost along with it.

The two horses pulling Loimos around went stiff, pulled into the caravan by nasty tentacles of decay along side the undead himself, his transport, compressing into a smaller size, growing bony legs, some sort of sphere, their sudden appearance pushing itself off the ground, effectively avoiding the one-hit KO that was this roar.

Natural arts used by beasts and monsters were certainly potent for no apparent reason, this guy right there could effectively put Loimos out of commission by just screaming at him, not even hard.

Of course, the skeleton could just pop back out somewhere else but that was beside the point, he had no way of resisting the frost in any meaningful way, and the dragon hadn't even begun to pull out its various tricks, the dragon and their kins, this one looking more like a wyvern, were famous for their breath attacks.

The gentlebeast flapping its wings with enough force to blast a few houses off their foundations behind was unlikely to be of the fiery variety, it took off into the sky, disappearing behind the high clouds.

Reappearing as quickly as it vanished, paws first, precisely crashing were the rot construct had stood moments ago, but it was not bound to moving in a single way, this little piece of putrid crafting was Loimos's magnum opus at the moment, not only was it about the best thing he could make, he had taken a long time to put together, putting multiple careful creations together as well as customising the entire thing using his knowledge of conditions, it was not something that could be redone on a whim.

Let he be allowed to venture deeper, the inner section of the mountains was a part it hardly visited anyways, fearing to end up as another corpse impaled down into the chasm, the dragon was lord of the territory only by matter of circumstances, there were no true territorial instincts, simply feeding on the residents when hungry and stomping on outsiders to pass time.

"My old friend, I'm no longer young enough to care about all of this" uttering actual words, hoping that the person they were aimed at could actually hear them.

Flying back to where it had come from, the dragon did not even try to trick Loimos and make a sudden turn, really just leaving, though, Loimos still only emerged from hiding spot only an hour later, small pieces of rocks moving out from the side of the road, pushed out as various bones stashed up inside the thin spaces slipped out, the hollow spots where he had hidden parts of himself were much too small to be suspicious.

As for the caravan, it was currently compressed into a ball, fitting perfectly well in his palm, reassembling himself properly, as well as bringing the carriage back into a more suitable state took a few more hours, the latter being the culprit for this time span.

Loimos did not bother to bring out the two horses out for now, currently reduced to the sizes of mere toys, those two were not rot creations of Loimos, but specialised golems finely put together by Unacunerra, inanimate objects were easy enough to conceal as the real deal, when it came to beings of rot, not so simple.

And since driving around without horses or anything to pull you was a little bit too noticeable, the earthen mage had taken care of this aspect, the golems created from his compressed earth magic, ensuring their durability, also allowing them to be minimised.

Now that the dragon was out of the way, things should go smoothly.
