Chapter 310: Finally, we will be fine

Blake immediately turned, bolting away back upstairs.

With every step, the urgency of the situation weighed heavily on Blake's mind as he ascended the blistering stairs toward the room where Rose was being held captive. The building groaned and creaked around him, ominous signs of its imminent collapse looming over his every move.

As Blake reached the room, his heart clenched at the sight of Rose still ensnared in Damien's icy grip. The ice seemed impenetrable, a formidable barrier standing between him and his beloved Rose. He hesitated, fearing that any attempt to free her might inadvertently cause her harm.

"Brute force won't work," Blake thought aloud, his voice echoing faintly in the icy chamber. "I risk shattering the ice with Rose still trapped within."

However, in the midst of his desperation, a flicker of inspiration ignited within him. Recalling the blood bomb he had conjured earlier, an idea began to take shape in his mind. Could he harness the power of his own blood to melt the ice encasing Rose?

With determination fueling his every move, Blake focused his thoughts, channeling his inner strength as he pondered his next course of action. Time was of the essence, the crumbling building serving as a relentless reminder of the limited window he had to rescue Rose from her icy prison.

"I have to find a way," Blake muttered to himself, his voice tinged with urgency. "I can't let her remain trapped here any longer."

He cut himself open, bleeding with from an open palm. With a steely resolve, Blake extended his palm toward the ice, his mind racing with possibilities. As he concentrated, he could feel the blood pulsing through his veins, a potent force waiting to be unleashed. Closing his eyes, he summoned every ounce of his willpower, willing his blood to heat up, to melt the icy bonds that held Rose captive.

"Just enough heat to melt the ice, not her along with it, please," Blake muttered, praying to whatever god was listening. If at any point the elder gods wanted to bless him, now would be the perfect time.

With a careful and controlled release of his power, he directed a precise amount of warmth towards the ice, ensuring that it softened and dissolved without causing any harm to Rose. Each moment felt like an eternity as he balanced the delicate task of freeing her while safeguarding her well-being.

A surge of warmth spread through Blake's body, his blood responding to his command. Slowly but surely, the ice began to soften and melt away, revealing Rose's form beneath the icy shell. As the last remnants of ice fell away, Rose emerged from her icy prison, her body weak and shivering from the cold.

"Blake," she whispered feebly, her voice barely above a whisper as she reached out to him.

Without hesitation, Blake rushed forward, catching Rose before she could fall, his arms enveloping her in a protective embrace. She was like ice in his arms, her skin chilled to the touch, but he held her close, willing her warmth back into her frail body.

There was no way I could interfere. But ...I'm here now, I'm here to save you."

Her eyes pleaded for recognition as she reached out toward Damien, her hands shaking with a mixture of fear.
