Leon stored the glove in his storage ring and looked at the corpse of the cloaked figure once more, a wave of excitement rising within him.
This was the longest he had lived since that stupid God of misfortune started to target him; he had even managed to kill someone in a life-and-death battle.
He was very grateful to the goddess and even muttered prayers of thanks to her name.
After this, Leon took out a small pill from his storage ring and threw it into his mouth. The pill instantly dissolved after making contact with his tongue, and Leon felt a wave of Shi rush through his organs and into his meridians; this was a Shi restoration pill that Quin Xuxu had prepared for him. It was used to recover one's Shi during an emergency situation when one needed to fight but was running low on Shi.
Amongst the pills she gave him were also healing pills, and detoxification pills in case he got injured or poisoned.
"Ah, what a sensible woman," Leon sighed as he felt his Shi increasing; sadly, his Qi didn't increase along with it.
"That's fine too, I should go help the others"
He said before running out from the bush and back on the footpath.
Feifei and Rongyu were still battling the three cloaked level 4, their fights looked to have reached a standstill as no side was getting the advantage.
Feifei and Rongyu coordinated perfectly with each other and were able to handle the three opponents by themselves, the three cloaked figures attacked ruthlessly and rained coordinated attacks on the two but were unable to harm them.
Wanxu, Muging, Yue, and Linxu were managing to hold off their opponents and were even getting the upper hand in their fights. Their opponents either had bloodstains on them or their cloaks were riddled with cuts.
Leon hesitated for a moment about who to help first but his hesitation immediately disappeared when he saw Muging's opponent suddenly bring out a black pill from under his sleeve and throw it at her.

Muging realized that it was a trick and waved her weapon, letting out a burst of Shi to blow the gas away but it was too late as she had inhaled some of it.
She immediately coughed out blood on one knee while clutching her chest with a twisted expression on her face; blood smeared her lips and robe as she supported herself by gripping her weapon.
"Hehe, not feeling too good now?" The cloaked figure teased and dashed toward Muging with his sword slashing out. Muging stared at him with sharp eyes, but her body refused to move.
"Rest assured, Senior, we swear to watch after her with our lives"
"Good" Leon nodded before running back to join the fight.

Half an hour later, the last cloaked figure got pierced by Feifei's spear and died; the fight was finally over.
"Good job everyone," Rongyu said to the group while panting slightly. Her face was covered in sweat and blood stains could be seen on her robe. She wasn't the only one in such a state, Wanxu, Feifei, and the others looked the same as well.
They had expanded a lot of energy in the fight and had even sustained some light wounds.
After seeing that their backers were getting killed one after the other, the bandits had long fled; Rongyu didn't give the orders to chase after them since they were all almost out of energy.
They might be able to kill a few more bandits but it would be bad if they were led into a trap of more martial artists from the demon sect.
The men who had been guarding the caravans approached them at this moment. All of them had bandages wrapped around their bodies and some had pale faces. They gritted their teeth and resisted the pain in their bodies as they came toward the group and knelt in front of them before placing their foreheads on the hard ground.
"Thank you, seniors, for saving our lives!"
All of them shouted in unison at the top of their lungs, their voices like the roar of a beast.
The other women and children in the caravans also came down and knelt at Leon's party as well, paying their gratitude for being saved.
Rongyu glanced at them with a calm expression, her eyes drifting in the direction of the caravans.
"How is she?" Rongyu asked, she saw Leon taking Muging to a caravan while they fought.
"Senior is fine; she's currently sleeping," one of the armored men raised his head and answered in a respectful tone.
"Forgive my boldness, but seniors have saved us; if seniors are going in the same direction as we are, why don't you all stay in our caravans and rest along the way?" The armored man proposed and lowered his head again.
He didn't dare to look at Rongyu or anyone's face when he made this request because while it seemed like he was offering them a free ride, it was also like hiring free powerful escorts as the presence of a group of martial artists would scare away bandits and wild beasts.
