[skill points: 7 ]
[talents: awaken, perceive, bloodlust]
xander looked at his screen as he walked towards the labyrinth where the entrance was. he decided that he might need to use his ultimate move which had a high requirement.
[skill name: reaper's spirit]
[skill level: 2]
[duration: 1.2 minutes, cost: 3900 mana points]
'so one skill point increases the duration by twenty seconds and decreases the cost by a hundred mana points. i've never used the skill before but i understand it totally.' xander thought as he put all seven free stat points into [reaper's spirit].
[duration: 3.4 minutes, cost: 3200 mana points.]
xander was satisfied with his new status and closed the screen. the skill 'reaper's spirit was a last resort skill that consumes almost his entire mana reserves. he had to choose the right moment to use it but he really hoped that he wouldn't have to.
"i just hope we don't run into the manticore. our best bet is to sneak through the labyrinth."
a normal person wouldn't be able to survive in a maze like this and would get lost a hundred times.
'i could easily fly us across but that'll be like a beacon for monsters. if possible, i want to avoid the manticore at all costs.' xander thought.
the manticore was too strong for him right now. a level 55 fighting a level 100 creature, that would be a death match.
'i could match the manticore's strength if i used... no. don't even think about that xander.' xander didn't want to think about using his trump card since it took a large toll on his body.
*creee!*
xander immediately raised his hand as he heard the screeching sound of a giant fly and the armor on his hand expanded into a large flat disk and camouflaged them close to the walls.
above them ,seven giant flies passed over them and flew towards the entrance of the cave.
"i wonder what's wrong with all the monsters today," xander said as they continued their journey towards the entrance.
after another forty minutes they finally made it out if the maze of the labyrinth. the wide semicircular hole which lead to the outside of the caves was now less than six hundred metres from them.
"shit. we'll be vulnerable if we decide to cross the field of sand," xander mumbled.
it was a huge, open, sandy field that lay in between them and their freedom.
[congratulations. you have passed the fourth turn and made it out of the labyrinth.]
"should we cross it?" hannah looked at him for an answer and xander pondered about it very well.
"we've come so far, let's cross it."
xander and hannah began to make their way through the mini dessert and reach the open hole which led outside the caves.
they were both happy, they'll actually get to see what the sky looks like again. they've been in this cave for too long.
'harry, sandra. i'm coming.' xander thought.
as they reached more than a hundred metres away from the labyrinth another notification popped up in front of xander.
[you have triggered the fifth challenge.]
as xander finished reading it he looked forward to see a large number of monsters entering the hole and running towards them.
both flying and running creatures all charged towards xander and hannah with killing intent.
"xander what do we do now?!" hannah asked as she breathed faster and she furrowed her brows, ready to fight for her life.
'what do we do?' xander repeated the words in his head and came to a decision. "we fight."
