Chapter 15 Real game
"T– Terrox?" Marie stammered as Alexander recounted what her husband has been up to during the past year.
She couldn't believe a word he said. Seeing is believing after all and you can't prove that a pig can fly without actually seeing it fly.
Now that she's hearing that her husband was part of a group of criminals she couldn't believe it. And to even take in the information about him being the leader... It was too much.
"N... No, my husband wouldn't hide such things from me."
Alexander scoffed at her words and just began walking to the tall pillar which had bright golden lines running on it.
"What are you doing?" Maria asked him. "What are you going to do to me?"
Alexander raised one of his brows in confusion and turned to look at her.
"My dear... You're just a distraction for your husband. While he'll be looking for you, my plan will be commencing." He said as he rubbed the pillar that was over one metres in diameter.
Technology was very advanced in current times so seeing something like this didn't freak Maria out too much, but what it was for however...
"And... And what are these so called plans?"
Alexander smiled as he signalled someone to get him a chair and a man in a white lab coat immediately came with a stool.
"Where were we?... Oh. This is a teleportation tower. It sends people to another world that is far away from earth, Serain."
Marie first felt that she was talking to a psycho but then Alexander started talking about something that piqued her interest.
"You may have heard of the new lit RPG game 'League of guardians'. It belongs to me, based on this strange new world..."
The lines on it then began to light up and like water filling a cup, the lines lighted up as if being filled with energy.
On the screen on the body of the pillar a new image was formed: it was the former blue logo saying 'league of guardians', now black with blood dripping from the letters.
"This will be much better. Let those who an survive, survive, and let those who can't become sacrifice for the greater good."
Alexander said as he spread his two arms beside him. This was the moment he has been planning for.
Everything was complete for the next step.
"Launch new program." He said and the monolith glowed brightly before dimming again.
Marie didn't understand the situation fully but she knew that it was something bad... Really bad.
...
At that moment Xander and Sandra charged at the red dragon from the sides.
The dragon responded by hitting it's paw on the ground, sending a shock wave that pushed both Sandra and Xander, lifting them into the air.
But then time stopped and they froze in the air.
"What the hell's going on?!" Both of them echoed and that's when the system rang out a loud notification.
[Attention players! The game 'League of Guardians' has been reset and hacked!]
[Get ready to be sent to a different league of guardians, where the challenges will be much... More... Real.]
That was the last message Xander saw before his view turned white and he felt himself being pulled into the light.
