Chapter 47: Gathering of the Terrestrial Immortals@@@@

Great Sui Dynasty – News Spreads Like Wildfire

As news of the celestial abode’s emergence rippled through the land, the entire Great Sui Dynasty erupted in fervour. From every corner, martial artists, nobles, and ordinary citizens raced toward the location of the mysterious Immortal Abode.

Among the first to arrive were seasoned martial artists.

“It’s true! Someone has already entered the abode!” exclaimed a middle-aged martial artist. .

Having reached the late stage of Heavenly Phenomenon Grandmaster, he was among the elite. Yet, despite his efforts, he was denied entry into the abode. His attempt, though less humiliating than that of the white-robed elder before him, was equally fruitless.

“Who could have such fortune?” the grandmaster lamented, his eyes narrowing as he recounted the two faint figures he had glimpsed inside.

The crowd around him echoed his sentiments.

“Unless those inside fail, we have no chance!”

“Damn it! Such a chance appears once in ten lifetimes, and yet we can only stand here and watch!”

Their lamentations were interrupted by a calm yet commanding voice.

“Indeed, this is celestial providence.”

A figure appeared, hovering in mid-air—a man clad in scholar’s robes. His very presence exuded the aura of a Terrestrial Immortal.

A mocking voice rang out as a black-robed woman materialized—Zhu Yuyan, the leader of the Yin Kui Sect and Wan Wan’s master.

[Zhu Yuyan (祝玉妍, Zhù Yùyán) can be interpreted as “Jade Beauty Zhu” or “Blessed Jade Elegance.”]

Her laughter stung, but Stone Zhixuan suppressed his anger. Injured, he knew better than to provoke Zhu Yuyan.

Zhu Yuyan, in turn, cast her gaze toward the abode.

“Wan Wan, you’ve done well. The celestial inheritance shall belong to the Yin Kui Sect!”

Her declaration was met with scornful rebuttal.

“Your heretical ambitions are doomed to fail. Righteousness shall always triumph over evil!”

Descending gracefully was Fan Qinghui, the leader of the Cihang Jingzhai and master of Shi Feixuan.

[Fan Qinghui (梵清惠, Fàn Qīnghuì) can be translated as “Sacred Purity and Benevolence Fan” or “Fan of Buddhist Clarity and Grace.”]

“The celestial abode shall align with the righteous path,” she proclaimed.

The air grew thick with tension as the leaders of the two opposing factions locked eyes.

“Don’t get too comfortable, old nun,” Zhu Yuyan sneered. “Let’s see who claims the prize.”

For now, the two powerhouses held back, each waiting for the celestial inheritance to decide the victor.
