All eyes were on the live broadcast through all types of electronic media.
TV, CELL PHONE, PC. All activities in the world stopped in unison because of the broadcast.
The man who called himself Gilgamesh managed to make the whole world lose its mind.
He started talking about power, the throne of a lesser god and also changing the world order.
[ Some of you whom I have chosen have more potential than others, therefore, I will give you more privileges. ] Gilgamesh said, leaving the whole world stunned.
"What exactly is he talking about?" asked Aril who was no longer focused on the fried rice in front of him.
A large shadow suddenly covered the sunlight and everyone immediately came out of their buildings and houses to see what had caused the shadow.
A giant iron disk floating in the sky, 500 meters off the ground.
It is golden in color and spinning in place.
About hundreds of giant disks are scattered around the world and now the governments of each country are starting to panic and mobilize their military forces.
Before the giant disk was attacked, it emitted a wave that made all humans dizzy and kneel on the spot, some even fainted.
No one knew what the wave was, but it felt like being drunk in an anemic state.
[ I have modified your DNA, O chosen ones. ] Gilgamesh said with a wide grin.
[ Don't let me down, humans. ]
Governments around the world immediately mobilized all their weapons to bring down the giant discs.
All the heavy artillery was deployed and the disks were blown up.
Everyone at the military base cheered because they had foiled the alien invasion plan.
Or so they thought.
They didn't even realize that the invasion had begun.
Some people suddenly shouted and laughed. Those people said something and then turned into hybrid figures of animals and humans.
Like monsters, they were humanoid, standing on two legs but with animal-like features.
There were some that looked like minotaurs and even their strength seemed to increase many times over.
Everyone panicked and ran away.
Aril frantically ran back into the restaurant to meet Bambang who was still standing in front of his dining table.
"Bambang! What are you waiting for? Let's run!" shouted Aril who was sweating coldly and looked very worried.
Bambang, on the other hand, didn't even show the slightest sign of anxiety. He just stared at the TV screen which was now only broadcasting a blurry broadcast.
Bambang took a deep breath and then let it out. "Aril, why do we have to run?"
"Huh?! Have you lost your sanity because of this?!" Aril walked over to Bambang who looked very calm.
"I've been thinking all week about how to make the world a better place."
"Huh?! Stop joking around, let's get out of here," said Aril who tried to pull his friend's arm but Bambang refused to move.
"Aril, join me. I'll make sure you don't become a slave," Bambang said calmly.
Aril's eyes widened and he stepped back slowly. "Wait a minute, don't tell me..."
Right after that, Putri instantly spun in the air and performed a vertical kick to the raptor man's head using her left foot.
He knocked back but his left hand came forward and grabbed the Putri's left leg.
The raptor man gripped her leg very tightly and his fingernails dug into her ankle.
Putri whimpered in pain and the raptor man immediately slammed the girl to the floor and almost knocked her unconscious.
She panicked and her whole body was immobilized by the pain she was feeling.
Just as the raptor man was about to make his finishing blow, Aril jumped up and kicked the raptor man in the face with both feet.
The raptor man was knocked back by the attack and unfortunately Aril's surprise attack didn't hurt him in the slightest.
The raptor man watched Aril who was in a stance with both hands clenched into fists, as if preparing to fight using his bare hands.
"Your attacks didn't hurt and you couldn't even react when I attacked you earlier," said the raptor man who looked at the man who was supposed to be Aril's opponent.
"But you managed to defeat that trash with your bare hands, you must be an expert in martial arts and have no system, right?" said the raptor man who grinned at Aril.
Aril grinned back. "You're right. I don't have the system, so, how about we settle this with a fair fight? Man to man."
The raptor man laughed. "Why should I follow what you say? You lowly scum."
"I thought the users of the system were specially chosen people, but it turns out you're just a coward."
The grin on the raptor man's face disappeared and was replaced by a serious look of annoyance.
"What did you say?" asked the irritated raptor man who couldn't take the insult.
Aril grinned widely. "You hear me? Without that system, I can beat you. You can win against me because of the system, you're not special. You're weak and you're a coward."
"Mutant System, Deactivated." The raptor man slowly lost his reptilian physical features.
His scales fell off and fell on the floor. His legs returned to normal human legs. His fingers returned to normal size and his long, sharp nails fell off. His row of canines fell out and a new row of teeth grew in their place, human teeth.
"You think this is enough to defeat me?" asked the raptor man who approached Aril with an annoyed expression.
"As long as you're not a lizard, I can beat you," said Aril, grinning widely.
The raptor man looked angrily at Aril and both of them immediately threw punches at each other's faces.
As Aril's fist began to approach the man's face, he opened his fist and a mass of red powder flew into the air. It was pepper powder and some of it made it into the raptor man's eyes.
The raptor man whimpered in pain from the burning sensation in his eyes.
Aril immediately knelt down on his left leg and bent his right leg and pulled his right hand back.
Aril immediately threw an uppercut to the groin and obliterated the man's balls.
The raptor man's breath caught and he grabbed his balls.
Aril grabbed the man's head with both hands and drove his knee straight into the raptor man's face.
*BHAK!
The knee strike was so powerful that it broke the nose bone.
Aril immediately turned around and ran towards the Putri and immediately carried the girl on his back.
"Eh?! What are you doing?! You can beat him," said Putri who was surprised by Aril's actions.
"Shut up!" said Aril who immediately picked up the big teddy bear he had chosen earlier.
Putri held the big teddy bear while Aril focused on running as fast as he could to get away from that place.
