Chapter 512 The Chancellor's Gift

Chapter 512 The Chancellor's Gift

--

'The same qualifications as the Ancients...is he talking about the dark golden fog and my Inner World?'

'Right, he did call it the Breath of Primordial Chaos. And from his story, he's probably the only person alive who's had a deep impression of it.'

It's no wonder the chancellor wanted to meet him urgently; it all made sense to Cedric now.

What Cedric unknowingly achieved was something that the Wise Dragon Chancellor had been trying to replicate since he was a child. He spent thousands of years searching for a way to follow the footsteps of his seniors, yet Cedric, an unknown creature to him for the most part, achieved it through sheer dumb luck and fortune.

If the chancellor were to shred all manner of propriety and manners, he would've abducted Cedric forcefully to squeeze every last bit of information out of him, and he could hardly be blamed for it. Fortunately, the chancellor was a creature ruled by his wisdom and not his impulse.

"You have given me a wonderful surprise, young man." Chancellor Igor smiled at him. "Yet at the same time, you've also brought me a sense of bitter loss."

"I've scoured the entirety of the piled and memorized all the remaining information about the Ancients. Hell, I've even studied under them and continued for thousands of years, yet I wasn't able to achieve the very thing you just did."

"I used to think that if I couldn't achieve it, then there was no way anybody would. It would only make sense since I have the background for it. And yet...here we are...what a refreshing feeling this truly was! Hahahah!"

Despite feeling a bitter sense of loss and defeat, the chancellor remained graceful and majestic. He didn't mope around and showed actual bitterness about his failure. If anything, he felt completely refreshed about this loss, because to him, it has truly been a while since he had been defeated in a competition...even though this doesn't really count as one.

Then, the chancellor brought a book and handed it to Cedric. The book looked and smelled old. It's not that thick but certainly won't be a short read either.

"This contains the compilation of all information I've collected all these years about the Breath of Primordial Chaos. Though, it's not exactly a complete guide since most of it came from stories, myths, and scenes that I've witnessed in the past. That said, it should give you enough inspiration on how to move forward with this new unfamiliar path you've unknowingly walked on."@@@@

"This..." Cedric was stunned.

He would be lying if he said that he wasn't tempted. Knowing the Wise Dragon Chancellor, this was definitely very valuable. It may not be for others, but to Cedric, it's the best he could ever hope for.

About a week later, inside Cedric's training area...

He could be found standing in the middle of a clearing. His eyes were closed, and his expression was focused. Hovering a few inches above his lap was the book that Chancellor Igor gave to him, protected by a golden bubble.

Why was there a need for protection? Well...

Boom! Boom! Boom!

World-shaking explosions occurred around the area. Cedric's Inner World was released, overlapping with reality. Everything within a 9-mile radius turned into a confusing space filled with dark golden fog. Enjoy new adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

Within this fog were collisions of particles and units of condensed dark golden energy. Each time they collided, it would cause a grand explosion similar to the intensity of a star's destruction.

The explosion happened all around him. Not even a single millimeter within this 9-mile radius was safe from this.

Then, with a snap of his fingers, all the explosions stopped. With a twist of his wrist and a wave of his hand, the gravitational pull around the domain went awry. In one second it was light, then heavy at the next. Sometimes it pulls up, sometimes down, left, and then right. Two gravitational pulls clashing together cause spatial collapse, one that is strong enough to annihilate all life caught within it.

And then, with another wave of his hand, the surroundings switched once more.

Now, all of a sudden, the dark golden space was now blanketed with a sprinkle of silver dots, like stars in the night skies. Cosmic swirls then appeared, followed by asteroid belts, stars, suns, moons, planets, realms, and so on.

Anybody who sees this vision might think they're hallucinating. The visions felt real yet looked illusory. They could touch it, yet it also doesn't feel right for some reason. It could probably pass as a very decent illusion technique for those who do not know what this represents.

See, these visions aren't truly fake per se. It's also not caused by any technique, spell, or skill. It's simply a mimicry of Cedric's will; he's replicating possible events in reality in his domain.

However, make no mistake, even though the visions were just mimicry, their effects were no less than the real thing. The world-destroying explosions just now? If anybody were to be so unlucky as to encounter it, it'd be hard to tell if they could live. Especially since to Cedric, this was just a simulation. If he truly wanted to, he could do much, much worse than replicating the movement and lifespan of the celestial bodies.

This was the absurd ability of his Inner World. When this domain was unleashed, Cedric was no less than a god within it. Everything he says goes inside it; everything within it exists because of him.

As it turns out, his idea of replicating the image of the Primeval Scarlet Dust Realm in his Inner World wasn't so wrong according to the book Chancellor Igor gave to him. He had the right idea all along, and that's what led to him being capable of manipulating scenes like this.
