Xavier looked at Damien with such an expression that the latter rolled his eyes at him.
"Oh, come on, why are you looking at me like that? You are making me feel bad here. You are looking at me as if I have asked you to come with me and steal someone's pants."
"Lord Damien, is there something that you are hiding from us?" Xavier asked with a suspicious expression. "As far as I know, you have no mana left in your body due to the tartarite nails that were embedded in your head."
Wasn't this man useless when it came to mana and morphing? He could neither draw his strength and skills through his beast core nor could he change into his beast form.

"That's right, I did have my mana taken away but you see Xavier.. When you mix this and that and what and not, you will get a completely different result than you expect."
"What are you trying to say, Lord Damien?" Xavier asked.
Upon hearing his response, Damien grinned at him before saying, "It's nothing. You remember that I injected the Impert Beast Snake's venom in my body right? Originally, I was going to just create an anti-venom. But who would have thought that the venom would be so dangerous that it would melt tartarite nails?"
"So I guess a bit of my mana is back?"
Xavier stared at the man with a shocked and disbelieving look on his face. He stammered out, "And you never told us anything?"
"It's not that I didn't want to tell you or anyone else anything," he said to Xavier coldly. "You know how I am being watched by the dogs of a certain someone. I can only hide that I have recovered, it's not an act of betrayal but survival, Got it?"
Xavier pursed his lips. He had to admit what Damien was saying was right. He sighed before saying, "Even if you have regained your mana, I am afraid it will not be as easy as you presume it to be."
He coldly smirked at the two men before saying to them, "Go and bring Clyde and Alton back. We are going to wipe the pests clean once and for all, at the yearly guild meetings."

Three days later,
"Why do I have to come with you?" Levi looked at Damien and Xavier with an annoyed look on his face. He raised his hands and clutched his hair with frustration before saying to Damien, "You could have stayed back at the guild while I deal with this case."
"Do you think that I want to be here?" Damien glanced at the midget who was making a fuss. "If you have something to say then you can take it to Master Godric."
Levi dropped his hands and looked at Damien with annoyance. "This is why I hate you. You always act so chill, it is frustrating."
"I have no love for you either, man."
"Do you want some of this eh?"
"You sure you can afford to do that?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Alright, you two, calm down." Wistoria looked at the men who were fighting like children and was suddenly concerned if she made the right choice by bringing them here.
Damien turned to look at her and said to her, "I don't want to hear that from you. Why did you not tell me that you were the one who posted the mission?" if she had, he would have prepared better! At least he would have requested to stay away from this man!
